Session Three
In which Madeline is rescued. Again.

In two short but incredibly flashy ripostes, Isabelle cleared the room of all of the brutes between the party and their damsel in distress.

Madeline was playing a haunting, discordant-but-harmonic violin piece which seemed to be in the process of opening a be-gemmed door.

The Ragged King proved to be an incredibly powerful opponent.

Wounds were given and taken, and Madeline was finally tackled from her playing, but the door opened anyway.

Out came the Caged Beast, which caused everyone to run in fear. The Ragged King and his accomplice Renard got away.

Charles du Chevalier was there to greet the party at the exit of the sewers, and escorted them back to the Chateau.

Session Two
In which Madeline goes missing

Attending the Masquerade, there was some minor interactions with new people, including Anna, who was dressed up like a Fate Witch, which scared Zio.

L'Imperateur introduced Madeline to all of the nobles in attendance, though she was looking more and more distracted and distant. When it was time for her to appear to perform her new composition for l'Imperateur, she was nowhere to be found.

Sleuthing discovered that she'd run from her rooms and left the Chateau. Tracking her into the sewers, the party was assaulted by gross sludge, and a few sewer spiders with painful bites, before finally seeing Madeline in an ancient Syrneth room. Unfortunately, there was a rather large collection of sewer hunters, the People of Pegre, between them and her.

Session One
In which we meet the heroes

The story opened with the three attending heroes returning the city of Charouse after a successful day of herb-harvesting. Approaching the last rise before the city, they heard a carriage being robbed.

Upon intervention, the bandit leader, Jean, pulled the young Madeline Prevoye from the carriage, and took her hostage. With an incredible oratory performance, Facana convinced all of Jean's henchment to abandon the attempted robbery in favor of rations of food and a promise for medical care for themselves and their families.

Jean, however, refused to capitulate and continued his aggression. Isabelle and Zio, through tremendous odds, not only managed to avoid Madeline with their attacks, but they succeeded in getting Jean to finally surrender, with no harm done to anyone besides himself. Facana bandaged his wounds, but had her work dealt a setback when Isabelle caused Jean's nose to explode – by firm application of her basket hilt.

After checking that he would survive his wounds, Zio moved him to the side of the road and left him 10 Guilders.

Moving into the Chateau du Soleil, they made friends with Benoit Ètalon do Toille, comforted Madeline some, and planned their costumes for the Masquerade Ball.
